Welcome to LeafLabs

UPDATE 12 January 2010: We are currently making the final changes to Maple version 2, namely an adjustment to the battery charging circuit and a larger power conditioning capacitor. May we have plenty-o-Maples in FEBRUARY for your hacking needs, desires, and chance happening upons (that's the plan)!

The Maple is currently sold out, but will be available again very shortly as we manufacture our second run. Thank you for your interest and please do check back soon! Visit the Maple page or our online store for more information.

Here at LeafLabs, we're developing an open source system for electronics development. Our system is dedicated to providing unparalleled computational power while still maintaining ease of use and flexibility for hobbyists, engineers, artists, and academics alike.

The Leaf system provides the aspiring inventor with an Arduino-inspired sketch-based programming environment, backed by a suite of modular Hardware expansions so that users can make projects that interact with their environment in new and unexpected ways. With the increased processing power of ARM microprocessors and the flexibility provided by reconfigurable technologies like FPGAs, Leaf main boards allows users to work with computationally expensive inputs and outputs, like video and audio. Leaf daughter boards, featuring a wide array of specialized sensors and actuators such as GPS, accelerometers, or motor drivers, can be used to tailor the system to the specific needs of your project.

For an in-depth look at Maple, Oak and Willow (our three main boards) as well as all available daughter boards, please visit our Hardware section.
